According to The Independent, “1 in 8 have borrowed money to make ends meet in the past year. Two-fifths (40%) are finding it difficult to keep up with their household bills and credit commitments. And a quarter (24%) of people said that they have rationed heating, electricity and water to meet credit repayments in the past 12 months.”
